What’s happening: A Marin judge granted a restraining order against Tamalpais Union High School District trustee Kevin Saavedra on Oct. 8, according to the court’s online docket. He resigned the next day, according to his resignation letter. At the start of Tuesday’s board meeting, the board voted to remove a planned censure of him from the agenda, according to Eric Allen, a district parent who watched on Zoom.

EdSource reported that the order followed profane emails Saavedra sent parent Ina Gotlieb from his district and campaign accounts, and that Gotlieb said the harassment lasted nearly a year. Saavedra said he was responding to a critical email Gotlieb sent Board President Cynthia Roenisch, and told the court he was frustrated by public criticism of board members, according to EdSource.

We emailed Saavedra for comment on the evening of Oct. 8, the day of the ruling, and have not received a response. We will update the web version of this story if he responds.
