Sunday's Briefing covered the library, clubhouse and Boyle Park. Here's the rest of what came out of the city's mid-year council retreat last week.

Hauke Park softball field: The renovation goes before council September 21 for authorization to put the project out to bid. The city's $100,000 commitment, approved in June, comes on top of roughly $50,000 raised by Mill Valley Softball, with a still unconfirmed contribution expected from Friends of Parks and Recreation. Total estimated cost for core field work is $276,400 (see our June 17 report on the project's backstory). A snack shack and other extras, estimated at $80,000 combined, are a separate Phase 2. The goal remains completing core improvements before the 2027 season opens March 1.
